OUR STORY
Built from inside small business
Hunter Valley Bookkeeping & Admin started in 2022 as Hunter Valley Virtual Assistants.
With Lauren as the Founder, the more we spent inside small businesses, the clearer it became that the thing owners most wanted off their plate was the finance side. Not just the data entry, but someone who would take responsibility for it.
So that's what we built. Over the years we have created a small team who thrive on helping businesses across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Australia wide stay organised, compliant and in control.
When you work with us you get personalised support, direct communication, and a partnership that grows with your business. We aren't a big practice. When you call, we answer. When you email, we respond. Your success is our success.

Lauren started out doing virtual assistant work for small businesses and kept getting pulled towards the finance side of things. She's a Registered BAS agent and she's at her happiest turning a messy file into a clean one.
Big on efficiency and automation, allergic to making things more complicated than they need to be.

Tok Kojima
BOOKKEEPER, BAS AGENT & NUMBERS NERD
A dedicated bookkeeper with a passion for processing financial transactions and providing businesses with the data they need to make effective decisions. He graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2008 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Financial Accounting.
With over 17 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, BAS, tax returns, and management accounting, Tok thoroughly enjoys working with local businesses to help them reach their financial goals. When he’s not processing transactions, you’ll find him out in the surf, catching waves along the coast.
Sophie Gardner
FOUNDER, REGISTERED BAS AGENT & ADMIN WIZARD

You should know what you're paying
Scoped in writing, priced fairly and billed at a frequency that suits you. If the work changes, we talk about it first. No surprise bills.
Being contactable is part of the gig
Not a bonus, and not something you should have to chase.
