In 2017 the HVBA offered the opportunity for people to train a young Brumby from scratch for the

very first time! Participants got to experience the first sniff, first touch and be the only person to

ever handle their Brumby. The clinic included catching, leading and all of the basics, and at the end

participants got to take their Brumby home - it was an incredible experience for all involved over the

5 days!

We are hoping to run more clinics like this in the future at the HVBA Sanctuary as it allows us to save

more Brumbies than usual because they are in our care for a shorter period of time. For this reason

we need Participants to register their interest early before the 2017 trapping season begins so we

know how many Brumbies we can save this year.

The Brumbies that participate will be looking for their forever homes, not to be trained by you and

then sold on. All will be between 1 and 2 years of age - little babies that just want to be loved while

they grow and mature. You do not need a lot of experience to do the clinic, we will show you how -

you just need a big heart and a suitable property.

A NON-REFUNDABLE 80% DEPOSIT must be paid by Participants PRIOR to us picking up the

Brumbies so we know you are serious about taking on this huge responsibility.  Clinics will be held at

the end of the year so we are giving people plenty of time to save up the $1000 clinic cost - which

includes the purchase price of the Brumby.  If you would like the opportunity to work with a young brumby from day one and then take it home as your very own, download the application, complete and return to us and we will put you on a waiting list to be contacted closer to the date.

There are a maximum of 5 places available for suitable applicants per clinic so register your interest now so you don't miss out! Please note you must live in NSW to participate.
