Hunter Valley Brumby Association

Field Trips and Fieldwork

The HVBA conducts our own research into our local Brumby populations, and where necessary into other contentious areas where Brumbies live, such as the Kosciuszko National Park, in order to ensure we are up to date on the issues these Brumbies face.

The majority of this research is desktop based, researching relevant scientific studies and legislation surrounding wild horses.

We are always looking for research partners. If you are interested in researching wild horse behaviour, the differences between wild and domestic horses, interactions between Brumbies and their environment, social issues surrounding the management of wild horses, tourism and heritage value of Brumbies or any other issue regarding wild horses, whether you are fully qualified or a student, we want to hear from you. Please contact our Vice President, Madison Young BSc at research@hvba.com.au.
